Setting up a Cloud Account

Login to Google with a valid Gmail account

Go to Google Cloud console

Google Cloud link

Upper right hand corner chose console

Accept terms of service

Hit Try for free

Hit Agree & continue

Click into Contact Information where Add name and address text appears

Note: Profile type needs to be individual

Select Add payment method

Select payment method

Enter Card information

Hit Start free

Questions on survey not needed

Click Activate full account

Hit Activate

Create Budget notifications

I set monthly budget for $50

Google Cloud Project

By default My First Project is created

Click into the My First Project and it brings you to the screen that lists project id (important and used in lessons)

Select new project

Name your project and hit create

Note you can change the Project ID to match the Project name so it easier to identify when asked.
